For the purposes of the provisions of Articles 278 and 279 of the Portuguese Constitution, the Jewish
Community of Porto hereby alerts His Excellency to a multiply unconstitutional discrimination that
violates European law, based on two concrete amendments to the Nationality Law that were approved
last week in the Assembly of the Republic and that now need to be enacted to become effective.
