This marks the return of the band to Portugal with a renewed lineup, including drummer Colin Brittain and vocalist Emily Armstrong.
The 11th edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa is scheduled for June 20, 21, 27, and 28, 2026, at Parque Tejo, an open-air venue near the Tagus River and close to Parque das Nações in the eastern part of the capital. Tickets will be available for purchase starting June 6.
Linkin Park went on hiatus in 2017 following the death of Chester Bennington, one of the band’s vocalists, and officially returned in 2024 with the release of “Papercuts,” a career-spanning compilation.
At the end of 2024, they released the album “From Zero,” which supports the current international tour, their first in seven years.
The band will begin the European leg of the “From Zero World Tour” on June 12 in Austria, with concerts in France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, and Switzerland.
The schedule will be packed until the end of the year with concerts in the United States, Canada, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.
Linkin Park made their live debut in Portugal in September 2003 with a concert in Lisbon at the then Pavilhão Atlântico, now MEO Arena. They returned several times to Portuguese stages, mainly at festivals, notably Rock in Rio Lisboa in 2008, 2012, and 2014.
Rock in Rio Lisboa announced the 2026 edition dates in February, promising “improvements in various areas” of the venue.
In 2026, the audience area will expand to 145,000 square meters, 15,000 more square meters than in 2024, “ensuring more circulation space and greater comfort for all” and allowing for the expansion of the audiences at all stages.
Additionally, there will be a 40% increase in restroom facilities, a 30% increase in dining areas, new rest zones, and an enhancement of the transportation and mobility plan.
In 2024, the 10th edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa attracted 300,000 spectators over four days. The lineup included bands and artists such as Scorpions, Macklemore, Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Jonas Brothers, Camila Cabello, Lucas Graham, Ne-Yo, Ivete Sangalo, MC Cabelinho, Luísa Sonza, Ornatos Violeta, and Fernando Daniel.
