
The ongoing works to expand the Itinerário Complementar 20 (IC20) will result in several road closures in the Lisbon and Setúbal regions.
In a statement released this Tuesday, the Subconcession Autoestradas do Baixo Tejo (AEBT) outlined the expected disruptions, stating that “the works will take place between 9 PM and 6 AM.”
The following are the expected restrictions:
- Complete closure of the A2 in the Setúbal – Lisbon direction, near the A2/IC20 junction from today, April 9, until Friday, April 11.
- Complete closure of the IC20 Almada-Caparica direction, between the Hospital junction and the Casas Velhas junction with a detour via Monte da Caparica at the Hospital junction – between Wednesday and Thursday (April 9 and 10).
- Traffic interrupted on the IC20 in the Almada-Caparica direction, near the A2/IC20 junction, with the South Center tunnel closed – between Thursday and Friday (April 10 and 11).
- IC20 closed in the Caparica-Almada direction, near the A2/IC20 junction and with the Lisbon-Almada ramp at the A2/IC20 junction closed – on the nights of today (April 9) to tomorrow (April 10) and from Friday (April 11) to Saturday (April 12).
- IC20 closed in the Caparica-Almada direction, near the Casas Velhas junction with the detour carried out through the junction itself (on the night of today, April 9, to tomorrow, April 11).
- IC20 closed in the Caparica-Almada direction, between the Casas Velhas junction and the Hospital junction, on the night from tomorrow (April 10) to Friday (April 11).
