
Of the 16 companies listed on the PSI index, 12 rose, while four fell.
Leading the gains was Galp, which advanced by 2.52% to 16.45 euros. On Tuesday, the company announced its intention to expedite the connection of producing wells in the Bacalhau field in Brazil to reach the maximum capacity of the floating platform. Additionally, Galp maintained its forecast of finding a partner with an appetite for developing the oil exploration project in Namibia by the end of the year.
Other companies that saw increases included Sonae (up 1.73% to 1.41 euros), Altri (up 1.52% to 5.02 euros), Corticeira Amorim (up 1.39% to 7.31 euros), Navigator (up 1.11% to 3.11 euros), Teixeira Duarte (up 0.93% to 0.65 euros), CTT (up 0.88% to 6.91 euros), NOS (up 0.81% to 3.75 euros), Mota-Engil (up 0.43% to 5.78 euros), REN (up 0.32% to 3.11 euros), Jerónimo Martins (up 0.30% to 20.34 euros), and Semapa (up 0.11% to 17.70 euros).
The declines were led by EDP Renováveis, which fell by 1.05% to 13.24 euros, followed by Ibersol, dropping 0.99% to 10 euros, BCP, decreasing 0.29% to 0.75 euros, and EDP, which dipped 0.07% to 4.45 euros.
Elsewhere in Europe, the main markets closed mixed. London and Madrid advanced by 0.93% and 0.09%, respectively, while other markets declined. Paris dropped by 0.63%, Frankfurt by 0.74%, and Milan by 1.03%.
