
Nine of the 15 stocks in the PSI index declined, five increased, and Corticeira Amorim remained unchanged at 7.70 euros.
Jerónimo Martins led the losses, falling 4.02% to 20.54 euros, following the announcement that its first-half profit rose 6.6% year-on-year to 269 million euros.
Between January and June, sales increased by 6.7% to 17,396 million euros (+6% at constant exchange rates), and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) grew by 10.3% to 1,148 million euros (+9% at constant exchange rates).
Today’s session also saw Galp dropping 2.33% to 16.33 euros, BCP declining 1.61% to 0.71 euros, CTT depreciating 1.22% to 7.31 euros, Mota-Engil decreasing 1.20% to 4.44 euros, and EDP falling 1.16% to 3.74 euros.
REN (2.96 euros), Sonae SGPS (1.26 euros), and Navigator (3.10 euros) experienced losses of less than 1%.
On the upside, Semapa led the gains with a rise of 1.98% to 17.50 euros, followed by Ibersol, which increased 1.07% to 9.46 euros.
Gains of less than 1% were recorded by NOS (3.65 euros), Altri (4.81 euros), and EDP Renováveis (10.34 euros).
Elsewhere in Europe, Paris fell by 2.91%, Frankfurt by 2.66%, Madrid by 1.88%, and London by 0.70%.
