
Out of the 15 companies listed on the PSI index, 11 recorded losses, three saw gains, and Corticeira Amorim remained stable at eight euros.
Leading the declines, EDPR fell 3.20% to 7.71 euros, followed by Mota-Engil, which dropped 3.08% to 3.40 euros.
CTT decreased by 2.60% to 7.48 euros, and EDP fell by 2.08% to 3.11 euros.
Other companies with losses of less than 2% included Navigator (down 1.50% to 3.27 euros), Semapa (down 1.42% to 15.28 euros), BCP (down 1.35% to 0.56 euros), Sonae (down 1.30% to 1.06 euros), Altri (down 1% to 5.97 euros), Jerónimo Martins (down 0.76% to 19.60 euros), and NOS (down 0.68% to 4.41 euros).
In today’s session, only Galp showed an increase, advancing by 0.56% to 16.23 euros, along with Ibersol, which gained 0.23% to 8.74 euros, and REN, whose shares rose by 0.18% to 2.74 euros.
Major European markets also closed in the red, with London down by 0.88%, Paris by 1.58%, Frankfurt by 1.33%, Madrid by 1.31%, and Milan by 1.77%.
This marked the fourth consecutive session of declines for European stock markets, as traders anticipated an announcement from Donald Trump regarding new tariffs for various countries on Wednesday, a day he has declared as “Liberation Day.”
Last week, Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on all cars exported to the United States, effective from April 2.
