Of the 16 companies listed on the PSI, 13 saw an increase while three experienced a decline.
Leading the gains was Teixeira Duarte, rising 2.65% to 0.70 euros.
Teixeira Duarte finalized its refinancing agreement with banks on Tuesday, involving the transfer of shares from five commercial companies converted into real estate investment companies.
In a market note, the company stated that its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Teixeira Duarte – Gestão de Participações e Investimentos Imobiliários and IMOTD – Sociedade Gestora de Participações Sociais, formalized the “transfer of shares representing part of the capital of five commercial companies previously converted into real estate investment companies” with Banco Comercial Português, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, and Novo Banco.
The group highlighted that this transaction, previously outlined in the refinancing agreement signed and announced on March 27 between its wholly-owned subsidiary EI01 — Empresa de Serviços Intragrupo and the banks, “results in a 2.7 million euro loss in the group’s accounts and allows Teixeira Duarte Group to settle debts with the banks amounting to 78.3 million euros.”
Other notable gains today included CTT, which appreciated 2.11% to 7.26 euros, Mota-Engil rising 1.12% to 5.86 euros, REN increasing 1.06% to 3.35 euros, and Sonae SGPS adding 1% to 1.41 euros.
CTT aims for growth to achieve Iberian leadership in e-commerce logistics according to their 2026-28 strategy, intending to intensify core investment during this period, as announced by Correios on Tuesday.
CTT’s investment (Capex) for 2026-28 is projected to be between 50 to 55 million euros annually, including increased capacity across the Iberian Peninsula.
CTT also plans to accelerate the growth and profitability of Banco CTT, forecasting an annual investment of 15 to 18 million euros for 2026-28.
With gains below 1% were Navigator (3.04 euros), EDP Renováveis (13.05 euros), Galp (17.74 euros), Jerónimo Martins (22.14 euros), EDP (4.39 euros), Ibersol (10.10 euros), BCP (0.77 euros), and Altri (4.90 euros).
On the declining side, Corticeira Amorim led with a 1.74% decrease to 6.77 euros.
With losses under 1% were Semapa (17.82 euros) and NOS (3.67 euros).
Elsewhere in Europe, London advanced 0.64%, Frankfurt 0.42%, Madrid 0.39%, and Paris 0.08%.
