
Of the 15 companies that are part of the PSI, eight saw an increase while seven experienced declines.
Leading the gains was BCP, which rose by 4.43% to 0.72 euros.
BCP reported a total profit of 502.3 million euros for the first half of the year, marking a 3.5% increase compared to the same period last year, as announced on Wednesday.
In this period, net results from activities in Portugal grew by 3.2% to 424 million euros.
Meanwhile, the net profit from international operations increased by 11.8% to 146.6 million euros.
Other notable gainers included CTT, appreciating by 1.51% to 7.40 euros, and REN, which increased by 1.19% to 2.97 euros.
Companies with gains below 1% included Jerónimo Martins (21.40 euros), Mota-Engil (4.49 euros), Sonae SGPS (1.26 euros), EDP Renováveis (10.30 euros), and Ibersol (9.36 euros).
On the opposite side, Semapa led the losses, dropping by 0.92% to 17.16 euros.
Other companies with losses below 1% included Altri (4.78 euros), EDP (3.79 euros), Galp (16.72 euros), NOS (3.62 euros), Corticeira Amorim (7.80 euros), and Navigator (3.10 euros).
Elsewhere in Europe, Paris fell by 1.14%, Frankfurt by 0.81%, and London by 0.05%, while Madrid added 0.11%.
