Lisbon stock exchange falls 2.27% with the EDP group leading losses

Of the 16 companies listed on the PSI index, only three saw gains, while the remaining 13 recorded losses in the last session of the week.

EDP Renováveis and EDP led the declines, closing the session at 11.72 euros and 3.89 euros, respectively.

On Thursday, EDP Renováveis reported profits of 107 million euros between January and September, a 49% decrease compared to the same months in 2024. Meanwhile, EDP recorded a profit of 952 million euros in the first nine months of the year, down 12% from the same period in the previous year.

CTT, BCP, and Jerónimo Martins ended the day with losses exceeding 2%, falling by 2.24% to 7.42 euros, 2.18% to 0.77 euros, and 2.17% to 21.66 euros, respectively.

Corticeira Amorim decreased by 1.95% to 6.52 euros, while the remaining listed companies with losses fell by less than 1%.

Semapa fell 0.79% to 17.66 euros, Altri 0.71% to 4.88 euros, Navigator 0.65% to 3.03 euros, Mota-Engil 0.61% to 5.74 euros, REN 0.30% to 3.35 euros, Teixeira Duarte 0.29% to 0.68 euros, and Galp 0.28% to 17.54 euros.

In positive territory, Ibersol advanced 0.50% to 10.15 euros, Sonae rose 0.42% to 1.42 euros, and NOS appreciated by 0.27% to 3.68 euros.

Major European markets closed broadly lower today, with London dropping 0.55%, Paris 0.18%, Frankfurt 0.69%, Madrid 1.34%, and Milan 0.35%.
