Lisbon Stock Exchange opens falling 0.24%

The Lisbon Stock Exchange opened today in negative territory, with the PSI index (Portugal Stock Index) falling 0.24% to 5,942.47 points.

On Wednesday, the Lisbon Stock Exchange closed down, with the PSI index losing 0.16% to 5,956.83 points, despite the strong rise of Jerónimo Martins, which led the gains.

Of the 16 listed companies that make up the PSI index, four were up, 11 were down, and one was unchanged.

The main European stock exchanges registered sharper declines. Madrid was down 1.06%, London 1.03%, Paris 0.80%, Frankfurt 0.63% and Milan 0.59%.
