During the 25th of November commemorations in the Assembly of the Republic, André Ventura commented on the removal of carnations, asserting that Marques Mendes “does not add anything to what we have, much less to the Right.”
“I removed the carnations because they should not be there today; there should be white roses. I am tired of the left doing whatever they want in Parliament. I am tired,” he stated.
He further added: “The country needs rules and order […]. I am the candidate of order; I am the candidate who wants to ensure that orders are followed.”
André Ventura emphasized that he is “a deputy with great pride” and a party leader, criticizing Marques Mendes: “Don’t pretend to be independent and above parties. You have been in politics your whole life.”
