
“I am not dependent on politics,” states Seguro, questioning Gouveia e Melo: “What experience do you have in dialogue with the parties? What experience do you have in dialogue with the Governments?”
“You don’t come to Belém to give orders to the parties,” he warns.
“Voting for you is an adventure, a shot in the dark,” he accuses. “You don’t even know the President’s term,” he claims, criticizing Gouveia e Melo for announcing his candidacy during the legislative election campaign.
In response, Gouveia e Melo considers these to be “arguments of small politics.”
“I have accomplished very complex things,” affirmed the candidate. “Complex operations with various countries,” he exemplifies.
