The four Livre MPs will vote in favor of the two motions to reject the Program of the XXIV Constitutional Government, which should be rejected today with the abstention of the PS.
This decision was taken on Thursday evening at a meeting of the Assembly of Livre, the party’s highest body between congresses.
The decision to approve the BE’s motion to reject was taken unanimously. The decision to approve the PCP’s text received 76% of the votes in favor from the Livre leaders. There were no votes against.
However, a party source told Lusa that the parliamentary group will be submitting an explanation of vote, as it does not agree with some of the comments on European affairs and Ukraine.
The debate on the program of the XXIV Constitutional Government ends today in the Assembly of the Republic, after a first day marked by several announcements and a discussion on the executive’s conditions of governability.
After more than nine hours of discussion on Thursday, today there will be a closing session, with speeches from all parties and the government, and a vote on the BE and PCP rejection motions, which have been announced as ‘defeated’.
