
In the race for the parish council presidency, the current president, Ana Martins from the Socialist Party (PS), faced Mickael Silva from the Social Democratic Party/Centrist Democratic Social Party (PSD/CDS-PP), who emerged victorious by a margin of 19 votes.
During the elections held on October 12, both candidates had tied with 100 votes each in a parish comprising 338 registered voters.
Following the general assembly’s decision to hold a new election, the vote took place this Sunday, resulting in Mickael Silva’s victory with 121 votes.
