
“We have different visions and different paths for the country’s problems. This was clearly demonstrated yesterday [Wednesday]. Furthermore, there is clearly a different way each of us approaches life and politics. This is very important and cannot be excluded from the campaign, particularly the seriousness of the candidates,” stated the Socialist leader to journalists during a visit to the agricultural market of Santana on the Azorean island of São Miguel.
The Secretary-General of the Socialist Party reiterated his accusation that Montenegro is the main cause of political instability.
“Luís Montenegro has serious issues that led us to these elections. When pressed, he pushes the country to elections. It happened once and would happen more times if, for some reason, he won the upcoming elections.”
