“I present myself before you with a great sense of responsibility and renewed mission spirit for the young Azoreans and our Region,” declared Luís Raposo.
This statement was made by Luís Raposo on Friday during the opening of the 23rd Regional Congress of JSD/Azores, held in Angra do Heroísmo, on Terceira Island, under the slogan “Winning with Youth.”
The candidate emphasized that, “in a year of challenges, the region must increasingly give voice to its youth,” ensuring that “youth, employment, and housing will be key areas of political intervention in this new term.”
Luís Raposo noted that 2025 “is a crucial year for JSD and PSD, with national legislative and local elections. He aims, as early as the next May 18, to gather more votes around the political project led by PSD and strengthen the defense of the Azores in the Portuguese Parliament with more mandates.”
“We also want to involve more young people in local electoral processes, win more parish councils and municipalities, and continue to transform our community, bringing hope to all Azoreans,” he stated.
