“Through its majority stake in the Spanish group Oblanca, the group has acquired 100% of Avícola Segoviana, a food distribution company based in Madrid,” the company announced in a statement.
Efforts to obtain the transaction value from Lusiaves are ongoing as a response is awaited.
Avícola Segoviana, with its 40-year tenure in the industry, employs over 60 people and reports a turnover of 9.5 million euros.
This investment aims to ensure greater stability and enhance the value proposition in the Spanish market.
“The integration of Avícola Segoviana strengthens our presence in Madrid and boosts our ability to meet the demands of the Spanish market. More importantly, it demonstrates the dynamic growth and evolution of the Oblanca Group, proving the solidity of this partnership with the Lusiaves Group and the growth ambition we are realizing together,” said Avelino Gaspar, President of the Lusiaves Group, in the statement.
Founded in 1986, the Lusiaves Group, headquartered in Leiria, employs over 5,000 people in Portugal.
