Luxembourg and Portugal produce cinema together

The Luxembourg-Portugal Co-development Fund for Audiovisual Projects will support two film projects for a total of 100 thousand euros.

This initiative, which brings together the Luxembourg Film Fund and the Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual de Portugal, aims to support bilateral audiovisual projects and strengthen exchanges between film professionals from both countries.

The selected projects are the fiction series “Desassossego”, directed by Joana Rocha de Bastos Rodrigues and Frederico Cerejeiro. This work includes several participations, including the Brazilian-Luxembourgian historian Dominique Santana and the actor Fábio Godinho. The grant from Luxembourg is 20 thousand euros and from Portugal 30 thousand euros.

The second project selected is the feature film “Fear of the Unknown” by Edgar Pêra, co-produced by Luxembourg’s Wady Films and Portugal’s Bando À Parte. The grant amounts to 25 thousand euros from Luxembourg and 25 thousand euros from Portugal.

The Luxembourg-Portugal Fund aims to support bilateral audiovisual projects and strengthen exchanges between film professionals from the two countries.
