
Portuguese singer Carminho performed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday, attracting a star-studded audience. The fado singer was supported by actress Fernanda Montenegro and musicians Caetano Veloso and Marisa Monte.
Carminho took the stage at Vivo Rio in the southern zone of Rio de Janeiro to promote her new album “Eu Vou Morrer de Amor ou Resistir.” She has additional performances scheduled in São Paulo and Brasília this week.
“Carminho’s show was beautiful,” Caetano Veloso posted on social media, sharing several photos from the event featuring the Portuguese artist and the Brazilian stars. His son, Moreno Veloso, also attended to support Carminho.
“Such beautiful and wonderful people,” “beautiful quartet,” and “powerful quartet” were some of the comments on the post.
Meanwhile, Carminho took to her page to acknowledge it was a night of “many emotions.”
“Rio, you’ve given me so much joy, and still, your heart doesn’t get tired… Presenting my new album in the presence of my great references is a privilege, an honor, and a reason for celebration! This night was filled with many emotions..” she wrote.
Carminho has been in the spotlight recently for her contribution to Rosalía’s new album “Lux,” with the song “Memória.” The fado artist expressed her gratitude on Instagram, stating: “Thank you, Rosalía, for this beautiful place you created. Fado loves you.”
