UV indices range from 1 to 2 for low, 3 to 5 for moderate, 6 to 7 for high, 8 to 10 for very high, and over 11 for extreme.
Today’s forecast for the mainland predicts hot weather with mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies. More cloudiness is expected along the coast in the North and Center regions, especially until mid-morning, and in the interior during the afternoon, with rising temperatures, particularly maximum temperatures.
There is also the possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the interior of the Central and Southern regions during the afternoon, and mist or fog in some areas of the western coastal strip, particularly north of Cabo Raso.
The wind will generally be light, predominantly from the north quadrant, shifting to the east quadrant until mid-morning, and occasionally blowing moderately (up to 30 km/h) along the western coastal strip. Maximum temperatures will range from 43 degrees Celsius in Beja to 25 in Aveiro.
