
“We will naturally wait for the Government to make itself available for this dialogue,” said José Luís Carneiro, speaking to journalists in Brussels, on the sidelines of a meeting with the delegation of Portuguese Socialist MEPs and with the Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament.
The new Secretary-General of the PS insisted that a meeting with Luís Montenegro must be a “government initiative” and that the meeting “may be the right moment to discuss the various issues that have been on the table.”
The former Minister of Internal Administration added that he will also request an audience with the President of the Assembly of the Republic, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, and the higher courts.
