Man arrested by PSP on 2 consecutive days after restaurant robberies

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of committing two consecutive days of qualified theft on September 24 and 25 in the Avenidas Novas parish in Lisbon.

The Public Security Police (PSP) reported that the man was first apprehended in the early hours of Wednesday.

At 4:15 AM, the suspect was caught leaving a restaurant after having broken in to steal various items.

The man was immediately taken to the police station, and the items were recovered.

After presenting at an initial judicial inquiry, he was subjected to regular reporting requirements.

The following day, surprisingly, the same individual was caught leaving another restaurant, which he also entered by breaking in. In his possession, besides various items such as a tablet and a mobile phone, he had approximately 400 euros in cash.

The detainee, who was already known to authorities for committing crimes against property, has been presented again to the appropriate judicial authorities and is now awaiting trial.
