A suspect allegedly set fire to a wooded area in Vialonga, Vila Franca de Xira, Lisbon district, on Monday, posing a threat to nearby homes, according to the Judicial Police.
Approximately seven hectares were reportedly burned as a result of the fire.
The detained individual is set to appear in court for an initial hearing to determine precautionary measures.
