According to a statement from the PSP, police were alerted to disturbances occurring at a playground in the União de Freguesias de Moscavide e Portela, in the municipality of Loures, Lisbon district. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had already left the scene.
The man was intercepted shortly thereafter, found in possession of a weapon.
“Investigations revealed that the man was near the playground engaging in significant sexual acts, exposing himself, enticing minors with sweets, and showing them pornographic videos,” the PSP explained.
According to the Lisbon Metropolitan Command, the suspect was brought before the judicial authority, which imposed a measure of restraint involving a term of identity and residence.
However, “less than 24 hours later,” the same man was detained for engaging in “significant sexual acts and genital exposure to passersby,” the police added.
The suspect was again brought before the judicial authority, which once more decreed a term of identity and residence.
