A 44-year-old man was arrested by the National Republican Guard (GNR) on Monday, September 29, in Alcanena, on charges of drug trafficking. A 48-year-old woman has been named as a defendant.
The GNR stated in a press release that following a two-month investigation into drug trafficking, efforts were made that “resulted in the suspect’s arrest.”
“Two search warrants were executed, one at a residence and another in a vehicle, leading to the seizure of various items,” including 57 doses of cocaine, 685 euros, and a mobile phone.
The detained individual, who has a criminal record for the “same type of crime,” has already appeared at the Judicial Court of Santarém, where he has been placed under pre-trial detention.
