A 36-year-old man was arrested for possessing a prohibited weapon inside a hospital facility by the National Republican Guard (GNR) on Tuesday in the municipality of Cascais.
“Following a report regarding an individual in possession of a firearm inside a hospital unit, the officers proceeded to the location,” the GNR explained in a statement sent to the press.
The suspect was located and approached, allowing for the confirmation that he was in possession of a replica firearm and an extendable baton, which resulted in his arrest.
The GNR arrested the suspect, who was made an official defendant, and the facts were communicated to the Judicial Court of Cascais.
