
The Territorial Command of Setúbal of the GNR announced that the suspect was arrested on Thursday by the Specific Victims Investigation and Support Unit (NIAVE) of Santiago do Cacém, a neighboring municipality of Sines.
In the context of a domestic violence investigation, officers determined that the suspect, a “habitual drug user,” exhibited “a pattern of aggressive behavior [against his partner], including threats, psychological coercion, and repeated physical assaults,” stated the GNR.
The security force executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, resulting in the seizure of 92 doses of hashish, a machete, a spearfishing gun, and a spearfishing knife.
The detainee was named an official suspect, and the case was reported to the Judicial Court of Santiago do Cacém.
