Arrest of a 24-Year-Old for Drug Trafficking
A 24-year-old man was apprehended “in the act” for drug trafficking on January 25 in the municipality of Sesimbra. This incident unfolded after the Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) acted on a tip-off, leading them to the scene where they discovered the suspect in possession of illegal substances.
Seizure of Illegal Substances
During the operation, authorities seized 100 doses of hashish and 20 doses of cannabis. The detained individual has since been designated as an accused and the case has been forwarded to the Judicial Court of Sesimbra for further proceedings.

In a related note, the GNR has also initiated proceedings against one of its members for alleged assault on a driver in Matosinhos, highlighting the ongoing efforts of the authorities to address various forms of misconduct and uphold the law in the region.
