A 50-year-old man has been arrested on Faial Island in the Azores on suspicion of drug trafficking, as announced by the Polícia Judiciária (PJ) on Wednesday.
Investigators stated that the arrest took place in the act in the municipality of Horta. The individual was found in possession of 5,000 doses of cocaine and 10,000 doses of hashish.
Following his initial judicial hearing, the suspect has been placed in preventive detention.
