A 65-year-old man died early Wednesday in an accident involving a machine while assisting in firefighting efforts in Mirandela.
The victim died “in an accident scenario where the machine operator had left to check on something,” stated a source from the Sub-regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection of the Terras de Trás-os-Montes to Notícias ao Minuto.
The same source added that “no one saw this happen,” but “the machine may have started moving and struck the man.”
