The Urban Hygiene Department of the Lisbon City Council will initiate an internal investigation and an external expert assessment following an accident involving a car and two garbage collection trucks, which resulted in the death of a man in his 40s in Lisbon.

The accident occurred at 2:40 AM on Monday and involved a vehicle and two urban garbage collection trucks on Avenida de Berlim, Lisbon.
A man in his 40s, who was inside the private vehicle, died at the scene, and two other individuals were injured, as reported by Correio da Manhã.
The report mentions that one of the trucks was out of control, allegedly due to brake failure, when it collided with the vehicle.
The site was attended by the Lisbon Fire Department, the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), and the Public Security Police (PSP).
