Emergency services were alerted to an accident at 8:33 PM on Wednesday on the EN 1 in the Malaposta area, Anadia.
The accident resulted in the death of a 69-year-old man who was riding a bicycle, according to the GNR.
During the rescue operations, the EN 1 was closed in both directions, and normal traffic resumed by 11:00 PM, it was added.
Firefighters, INEM, and the GNR were present at the scene, and an investigation into the causes of the accident is underway.
