
A 76-year-old man died on Monday, “possibly due to carbon monoxide,” in the municipality of Covilhã.
The Beiras and Serra da Estrela Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command revealed that the alert was raised at 1:47 PM. When the firefighters arrived on the scene, the man was already deceased.
Responding to the incident were firefighters from Covilhã and Belmonte, the National Republican Guard (GNR), the Judiciary Police (PJ), and the Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) of the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM).
