
A 32-year-old man was stabbed in the early hours of Sunday, November 9, at the Golegã National Horse Fair, as confirmed today by an official source from the National Republican Guard (GNR) to Notícias ao Minuto.
According to the officers, the man was transported in serious condition to Abrantes Hospital.
The alert for the stabbing was issued at 3:40 AM. As of now, the motives behind the attack and the identity of the perpetrator remain unknown.
Authorities are currently investigating the case in order to identify the suspect.
No further details about the victim’s condition have been obtained.
On-site, alongside the National Republican Guard (GNR), several members of the Golegã Voluntary Firefighters were present.
The Golegã Fair began on November 7 and continues until November 16. This year, the municipality invested 600,000 euros in the event.
