A 36-year-old man was shot in the leg and sustained minor injuries during a shooting incident between two families in Ponte de Sor, Portalegre district, according to the GNR.
The alarm for the incident, which occurred on a street in Ponte de Sor, was raised to the GNR by a member of the public at around 1:30 a.m.
The injured man was transported to the Ponte de Sor Health Center and then to the Portalegre hospital, where he was discharged during the early morning hours.
“Several people have been identified, but no arrests have been made,” added the security force source.
The case investigation has been handed over to the Judiciary Police, according to the GNR.
Contacted for comment, the Alto Alentejo Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command stated that it has no record of this occurrence.
