A man shot a woman and then committed suicide on Wednesday afternoon in Macieira de Cambra, in the municipality of Vale de Cambra.
The local authorities, including the Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR) of Aveiro’s Territorial Command, confirmed the incident, indicating that the man and the woman were a couple.
It was reported that the GNR was called to the scene at 6:15 PM and that the investigation has been handed over to the Polícia Judiciária (PJ).
The incident reportedly occurred at the couple’s company, and the bodies are expected to be transported by the Vale de Cambra firefighters to the Institute of Legal Medicine’s office.
