
A 35-year-old man was shot dead on Tuesday, September 16, at a fuel station in Gondomar.
The homicide was reported by Jornal de Notícias and confirmed by Notícias ao Minuto through a source at the Public Security Police (PSP).
The PSP informed Notícias ao Minuto that a witness heard several gunshots at approximately 1:15 p.m. and alerted the authorities.
Upon arrival, police found a deceased man inside a car.
The crime reportedly occurred at the Repsol station in Rio Tinto, Gondomar, specifically on Rua de Rebordãos.
The PSP is present at the scene, but the case will be handed over to the Judiciary Police (PJ).
The National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) is also at the scene and informed Lusa news agency that the murder happened near the suction area.
No arrests have been made so far.
The victim is reportedly António Araújo Cabreira, known as ‘Valquírio’, an individual known to the authorities. He is the uncle of ‘Cenoura’, a suspect in the fatal shooting of Josué ‘Boxista’ Maia during a brawl outside a bar on Rua Escura in Porto last May.
‘Valquírio’, known to law enforcement, is said to have been “executed” with three shots to the neck.
