
A man armed with a knife stabbed a shopkeeper on Thursday evening during a robbery at a computer equipment store located in the Campolide district of Lisbon, an official source from the Public Security Police (PSP) confirmed on Friday, December 12, to Notícias ao Minuto.
The PSP reported that the robbery took place around 6:20 PM, specifically on Rua de Campolide.
During the robbery, the assailant delivered several blows to the victim’s chest, managing to seize the cash register from the establishment.
Subsequently, he fled on foot to an unknown location.
The cash register has since been found, abandoned on Rua Vítor Bastos. The suspect remains at large.
The victim was transported in serious condition to Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon but is stable and not in a life-threatening condition.
The PSP has taken note of the incident and reported the facts to the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) and the Judiciary Police (PJ).
