A man was stabbed in the early hours of Sunday on a street in Moita, Setúbal district. The Judiciary Police (PJ) is investigating the incident, treating it as an attempted murder.
The information was confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto by the PJ, as well as by a source from the Public Security Police (PSP), who stated that the man “is not in life-threatening condition.”
According to reports, the victim, aged 44, was found bleeding heavily by PSP officers after authorities were alerted to the situation. The man was reportedly stabbed in the neck and back.
The motivations behind the attack remain unknown at this time.
Authorities immediately attempted to locate the attackers, but were unsuccessful, and they remain at large. The exact number of suspects involved is currently unknown.
The victim received assistance at the scene from the emergency medical services and was subsequently transported to Barreiro hospital.
