
A 29-year-old man was charged last Monday, October 13, for suspected aggravated theft at a jewelry store in the municipality of Oliveira de Frades.
The National Republican Guard (GNR) reported that the Criminal Investigation Division (NIC) of Viseu began investigating a theft at a jewelry store in the municipality, with officers conducting police procedures that identified the suspect and determined that the stolen items were valued at approximately 22,163 euros.
During the operation, the GNR executed a “search warrant” at the suspect’s residence and successfully seized “various stolen items.”
The seized items included gold pieces valued at 5,166 euros, several gold displays, tags from sold gold items, 74.88 doses of hashish, and 80 euros in cash, in addition to other objects related to the crime.
The suspect has been charged, and the case has been communicated to the Judicial Court of Oliveira de Frades.
