An incident occurred around 4:00 AM when a 64-year-old man was apprehended under suspicion of a fatal shooting, as confirmed by a GNR source. The suspect was taken into custody by the responding patrol and subsequently handed over to PJ in Vila Real for further investigation.
The source stated that the suspect reportedly used a shotgun, resulting in a fatal head wound to his mother-in-law, who is believed to have died instantly.
The alleged homicide took place at the residence shared by the involved parties in Chã, within the municipality of Alijó, Vila Real district.
