A 39-year-old man was arrested in Almada on Saturday for possession of a prohibited weapon.
The arrest followed a report to the GNR about an individual walking in public in the Fonte da Telha area.
The suspect was wielding a katana, which authorities managed to locate and intercept.
The operation resulted in the seizure of the katana, 0.49g of cocaine, and two knives.
The detainee was made an official suspect, and the case has been reported to the Almada Judicial Court.
