Man with “two arrest warrants” identified by PSP in Amadora

A 34-year-old man was arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP) on Monday in Amadora, with two outstanding arrest warrants against him—one for the crime of domestic violence and another for driving without a legal license.

In a statement, the PSP explained that the man was approached and, upon verifying his identity, it was discovered that there was an “arrest warrant for the payment of a fine resulting from a conviction for driving without a legal license.”

There was “also an arrest warrant for serving an effective prison sentence in a penitentiary due to a conviction for the crime of domestic violence.”

“The execution of the arrest warrants resulted in the payment of the total amount of the fine and the transport of the detainee to the Sintra Penitentiary for serving the prison sentence,” it stated.
