
The improvement is influenced by the increase in the non-life insurance branch’s result, the company states in the information communicated to the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), equivalent to the Portuguese CMVM.
Revenues grew by 3.5% from January to September, totaling 22.3838 billion euros.
The non-life segment registered an increase of 1.8%, with revenues rising to 17.3038 billion euros, while in the life segment, there was a rise of 9.7%, with revenues reaching 5.080 billion euros.
The group’s profitability grew across all regions and business lines.
The Iberian Peninsula segment (Spain and Portugal) increased its results by 22.5%, amounting to 347.3 million euros, and premium revenues by 9.3%, reaching 7.8237 billion euros.
In Spain, revenue value increased to 7.508 billion euros, while in Portugal, it rose to 316 million euros.
The Spanish insurer noted that, due to prudence criteria, it recorded extraordinary impacts of 79 million euros until September due to the partial impairment of goodwill in Mexico and the cancellation of deferred tax assets in Italy and Germany, without which the result would have been 908 million euros.
The company will pay a dividend to shareholders on November 28 of 7 cents per share before taxes. This distribution marks the fourth consecutive time the group has increased its dividend value.
