Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa made statements today after visiting the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon alongside the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
When asked about relations with Angola, Rebelo de Sousa mentioned, “The President of Angola [João Lourenço] will visit Portugal in July, at the end of the month,” expressing sentiments of “fraternity” toward the Angolan people.
Angolan President João Lourenço previously came to Portugal in 2024 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April 1974 revolution.
