“Marés Vivas already has dates for 2025 and, as usual, it will be on the third weekend of July – the 18th, 19th and 20th,” he told reporters.

As for this year’s edition, which ends today after having kicked off on Friday at the old Madalena campsite in Vila Nova de Gaia, in the district of Porto, Jorge Lopes revealed that more than 100,000 people passed through the venue.

Although the first day didn’t sell out, the main stage being played by the British Take That and the Portuguese D’ZRT, the director of PEV Entertainment revealed that the second and third days were sold out.

“So it’s been a success so far,” he added.

As for the artists who will make up next year’s line-up, Jorge Lopes said that he already has many in mind, but didn’t want to reveal any names.

“I think we’re going to have an incredible line-up next year. It’s going to be a great festival,” he said.

The 2024 edition featured names such as Take That, D’ZRT, James Arthur, Ben Harper, António Zambujo, Marisa Liz, Ornatos Violeta, DAMA, Syro, Rag’N’Bone Man, Louis Tomlinson and Snow Patrol.
