“This year we are much better prepared to welcome people because, in addition to an incredible lineup, we have many new attractions, including a Ferris wheel and a zip line, and, furthermore, many planned moments of fun,” stated Jorge Lopes.
While maintaining the usual five stages, their locations, except for the main one, have been changed to provide “greater dignity and dimension” and also due to the placement of the Ferris wheel.
A more playful zone with activities was created around the Ferris wheel, he added.
Alongside these changes, the Marés Vivas venue, held at the former Madalena campsite in Gaia, features a new sanitary facility area, several water and sunscreen distribution points, and a larger, more diverse dining area, he explained.
Anticipating a “great festival,” Jorge Lopes revealed that Friday and Sunday are sold out and that Saturday is already “practically sold out.”
The Marés Vivas venue will host 40,000 people and various national and international artists each day.
On the first day, the main stage welcomes the German rock band Scorpions, the Linkin Park tribute band Hybrid Theory, and the Portuguese band Xutos & Pontapés.
Saturday will feature performances by Thirty Seconds to Mars, Miguel Araújo and os Quatro e Meia, Nena and Joana Almeirante, and Luís Trigacheiro and Buba Espinho.
The final day will spotlight artists Calema, Pedro Sampaio, Ozuna, and Nenny.
Jorge Lopes emphasized that the goal is to have a diverse lineup with different musical styles appealing to various generations and ages.
“It is important that the audience connects with an artist, but also with the venue, the leisure activities, and moments of fun,” he asserted.
“Marés Vivas has continuously demonstrated the ability to build a loyal audience over the years,” concluded Jorge Lopes.
