The incident occurred at the Ícaros Festival, which took place last week, and was reported today. It was the minor herself who informed her parents about being sexually abused during a massage at the festival grounds.
The family, attending the event, immediately filed a complaint with the GNR, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, with the investigation now being handled by the Judiciary Police.
The Ícaros – Festival Música e Medicina organization issued a statement on their Facebook account expressing regret over “a very serious crime that occurred during the festival, involving the abuse of a minor.”
“This behavior is absolutely unacceptable and represents a serious violation of the values and standards that we uphold at the festival,” the organization stated, adding that they supported “those affected by this crime” throughout the process.
The festival organizers emphasized that “no one could expect such an action” and that “this type of situation is completely beyond” their control.
They added that after contacting the authorities, they closely followed the entire process, ensuring they are vigilant and “doing everything possible to ensure that justice is served.”
“We deeply regret that this incident occurred and are fully committed to taking all necessary measures to ensure that something like this never happens again,” the statement read.
