The American singer Matt Berninger is the latest artist confirmed for NOS Alive, becoming the first name announced to perform on the Heineken Stage on July 9.
The confirmation came this Wednesday via an official communication.
Matt Berninger is “known for his poetic writing, sharp humor, and intensely emotive melodies.” He is recognized as the lead vocalist of The National, with whom he has released ten studio albums, including ‘First Two Pages of Frankenstein’ and ‘Laugh Track’.
In 2014, Berninger “founded the project EL VY with Brent Knopf (Menomena), releasing ‘Return to the Moon’ the following year.” His solo album ‘Serpentine Prison’, released in 2020, was produced by “legend Booker T. Jones”.
Berninger is also “a visual artist” and was, for a decade, “a creative director in New York City”.
