The warning for Bragança, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, and Braga will last until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, after which it will change to an orange warning for Vila Real and Bragança, and yellow for the other areas.
In addition to the red warning, all other districts are currently under an orange warning until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, except Beja, which will remain under a yellow warning.
Faro continues to be the only continental district without any warning.
After 6:00 PM on Tuesday, orange and yellow warnings will remain for all districts until Thursday, excluding Beja.
The mainland of Portugal is on alert from Sunday to Thursday due to the high risk of wildfires, as announced by the Minister of Internal Administration on Saturday.

The red warning is the highest level in the scale used by IPMA and indicates extreme weather risk, while the orange is the second most severe, issued during “moderate to high weather risk” situations, and yellow is issued whenever there is a risk for activities dependent on weather conditions.
Today’s forecast includes hot weather and a mostly clear sky, with increased cloudiness in the Algarve’s Barlavento area, generally weak winds, temporarily moderate to strong in the Algarve. A decrease in maximum temperatures is expected in the South.
Évora will be the hottest region at 40º Celsius, while Faro will be the least warm at 28º.
